I'm not a big fan of drive-by tourism, but Strasbourg's postcard attractions seemed a good
place to start. At the tourist office next to Alsace's centerpiece, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, I bought a Strasbourg Pass,
a three-day coupon book ($12.90 at $1.22 to the euro) for the city's attractions that grants free admission to several spots
and a half-price discount on four activities.
